T.I. Brings Big Ratings To VH1 With The Family Hustle

T.I. may have a long and bright future ahead of him as a reality TV star now that his show “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle” has drawn big ratings for VH1. The reality show featuring Tip and his family premiered online a few days early, and was seen by 4.3 million viewers at 9 pm on Monday night (December 5th).

T.I. On His Prison Release: “I Enjoyed Opening My Refrigerator”

Rapper/actor/author T.I. who was recently released after serving two prison stints within the last two years recently announced the release of his new book “Power & Beauty”. Tip recently sat down with our partners at HuffPo Black Voices and and opened up about penning his debut novel while behind bars, recording his next album, clearing the air with Diddy and his upcoming VH1 documentary:

UPDATE: Wiz Khalifa, Drake, T.I., Lil Wayne and posthumous Notorious B.I.G. material will appear on this month's album.

On December 14, Diddy and his latest Bad Boy Records act, Dirty Money will release Last Train To Paris. The concept album that's been delayed for over a year, deals with love, break-ups and alledged observations the music mogul made last year while traveling abroad.
Although features have yet to be announced, the album's tracklisting has been revealed. Rick Ross, Drake and Nicki Minaj are all believe to be featured on the Interscope-distributed album. (December 1)

T.I. Explains Drug Addiction, Says He's Been Treated Unfairly

Tip sits down with Vibe to explain how prescription drugs pushed him to addiction, and says a troubled past also influenced him.

In a telling interview this month, T.I. disclosed his feelings about his recent drug charges and subsequent jail time. Before the Atlanta rapper headed off to jail earlier this month, he'd sat down with Vibe magazine to describe what he thinks about the public's perception of him, and if he feels he's being treated unfairly.

"If I place my value in the way humans treat me, then maybe. But they're human, man--they can't help themselves," T.I. said.

T.I. -- I'm 'Sick and Motherf**king' Tired of Prison

T.I.'s people just helped the imprisoned superstar post a message on his website, in which T.I. says the time he's serving inside a federal prison in Arkansas is "truly a pain I have never felt before."

In his statement, T.I. -- who's in the first month of an 11-month sentence -- says, "I don' t know what effect this will have on my life moving forward but I'm certainly sick and mother f*cking tired of going to jail, juve, prison, the pen, correctional facilities or whatever else you want to call it."

Although he's behind bars, T.I. is still being sued by a studio technician who had a gun pulled on him during studio time.

Even though he just went back to jail, T.I.'s still facing another lawsuit. The rapper is now being sued over an alleged assault during a studio at which he was not present.
Norris Gresham, a studio technician, is suing the ATL superstar and five other parties for an assault on September 8 in Echo Studios. According to the plaintiff, an associate of T.I. pulled a gun on him and others, held him captive in the studio for 12 hours over a lost chain, threw him down a flight of stairs and beat him. T.I. was not present during the session in question.

T.I. Turns Himself Into Prison in Arkansas to Begin 11-Month Sentence

T.I. has reported (for a second time) to a federal prison to serve time for a weapons violation. The rapper began his 11 month sentence for violating his probation yesterday afternoon (Mon. Nov 1) after he turned himself in to Forrest City prison in Arkansas.

T.I.’s Wife Tiny Charged With Drug Possession

T.I.’s wife Tameka Cottle aka “Tiny” was charged with one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance. While T.I.’s drug case was dropped by L.A. County District Attorney earlier this week, Tiny wasn’t so lucky.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Tiny will be arraigned on Monday in Los Angeles for misdemeanor drug possession — the same day her husband, rapper T.I., 30, is due to turn himself in to start serving an 11-month sentence at an Arkansas prison.

Amazon says that the next album from the troubled Rap star sits at December 7, while a group of fans fights to keep the king uncaged.

Atlanta, Georgia Rap superstar T.I. has been sentenced to 11 months in prison for his September parole violation involving multiple drug offenses during a traffic stop with wife, Tomeka "Tiny" Harris. According to TMZ.com, a group calling themselves "Citizens of the State of Atlanta, Georgia" [sic] has sent the court a petition trying to send the Grand Hustle/Atlantic Records emcee to drug rehabilitation instead of prison.
T.I.'s counsel has reportedly been made aware of the letter, but has no plans of using it in an appeal.

T.I. Won't Face Drug Charges For September Arrest

While he'll still have to face 11 more months in prison, Tip won't face additional drug possession charges.

As reported earlier, T.I. will have to serve another 11 months of prison time after violating his probation following a September 1 arrest in Hollywood. Tip and his wife, Takema “Tiny” Cottle, were arrested for suspicion of possessing methamphetamines after police pulled over their Maybach in West Hollywood. TMZ reports the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office won’t pursue the drug charges “because, in essence, he’s already been sentenced to prison since the arrest was a violation of his federal probation.”

T.I. Talks Suicidal Man Down From Ledge

Rapper T.I. helped police convince a man who was contemplating suicide off a 22-story building not to end his life in Atlanta. When T.I. heard about the man on the roof of the building that houses radio station V103, he called into Ryan Cameron’s show to see if there was anything he could do. Ryan suggested he go down to the building.

T.I.'s Probation Officer Recommends Prison; Lawyers Seek Lesser Sentence

(AllHipHop News) Prison time for T.I. is inevitable, although prosecutors and defense lawyers representing the rap star are arguing in court over how much time he should spend in prison for violating his probation.

According to reports, T.I.'s probation officer has recommended a sentence of eight to 14 months in prison, while lawyers for the rapper countered that at most, T.I. should be sent to prison for 5 to 11 months.

At 2:00 PM on October 15th, T.I. will find out just how much time he will spend behind bars, for violating the terms of his probation on September 1st in Los Angeles.

Police stopped the rapper around 10:45PM on the Sunset Strip, after he made an illegal U-turn in his Maybach.

Rapper T.I. is counting down the days before appearing in court to find out if his probation will be revoked.

According to TMZ, Tip’s hearing will occur on October 15th. He will have to stand in front of a judge and answer to three possible violations: possession of Ecstasy, testing positive for opiates and associating with a convicted felon.

We hope he has one hell of an alibi!

T.I.'s Penn State University Show Is Cancelled

After last's month drug arrest in LosAngeles, Nittany lions will no longer meet the king.

In the wake of legal woes stemming from an August drug arrest with wife Tomeka in Los Angeles, emcee T.I. has cancelled an appearance planned at Penn State University this month. The Grand Hustle Records co-founder was planned to perform on September 24 at the Bryce Jordan Center at the school's State College, Pennsylvania campus.

T.I. and Grand Hustle Records have yet to release a statement on the cancelation. PennState University has yet to announce a replacement performer.

T.I. Summoned To Court

T.I. has been summoned to court to explain why he should remain a free man.

Rapper T.I. has been summoned to appear before a federal judge in Atlanta in order to explain why he shouldn't head back to prison as the result of his recent arrest. According to MyFoxAtlanta.com, U.S. District Judge Charles Pannel Jr. signed the summons to bring T.I. Pannel was the same judge that sentenced T.I. for firearms violations.  T.I. faces three violations of his probation: testing positive for opiates, possession of ecstasy, and associating with a convicted felon.  No date has been set for the hearing.
