The Fresh Prince will return to television, in a production capacity, with a comedy and an action series.

Emcee-turned-actor and film producer Will Smith is returning to television. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native who starred in popular NBC program, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air between 1990 and 1996, has announced that he is producing two new series.
According to Variety, Smith, who heads up Overbrook Films, will produce a television adaptation of his 2005 film, Hitch, which co-starred Kevin James and Eva Mendes. In addition, Smith will partner with China's Eva Jin for an action series chronicling a crime-fighting college student.
Neither show has a confirmed network at this time.
