Rick Ross, The Grammy Awards

After “Maybach Music 3,” a highly-anticipated track off of Rick Ross’ fourth studio album Teflon Don leaked earlier this week, the Boss announced via his Twitter account that singer and collaborator Erykah Badu would be shooting the official music video for the record.

The song, which also includes rappers T.I. and Jadakiss, is expected to be released as the third single for the new album. Rick Ross’ Teflon Don will be released July 20 through Maybach Music Group/Def Jam Records.
In other news, The Recording Academy has modified the eligibility rules in the Best New Artist category for the Grammys that will take effect next year.
Whereas previous nominees could only be eligible if they were not nominated in a prior category, the new amendment will allow artists into the category as long as they have not won a Grammy prior to their nomination.
With the change, rappers Drake (Best Rap Song and Best Rap Solo Performance) and Kid Cudi (Best Rap Song, Best Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Performance By A Dou Or Group) will now be eligible in the Best New Artist category for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards as both had prior nominations but did not win.
