Ciara Gives Tribute To Michael Jackson At Concert [VIDEO]

Ciara is currently in between record labels but that isn’t stopping her from dancing her a** off in a tribute to Michael Jackson at a recent concert. Ciara performed “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’” and “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.” Ci Ci shared her love for Michael to Rap-Up.com saying ““It’s important for me to share with my generation the importance of Michael and what he was to music because to me there will never ever be another Michael.”

Does Rihanna’s “Man Down” Video Display A Double Standard?

Rihanna debuted her new video for “Man Down”early yesterday which received very mixed reviews. In the video, Rihanna shoots a man down in the center of a busy street. But the visual of a man being gunned down in broad daylight (with a clear view of blood exiting his neck and pooling around his head) proved to be too graphic for some of the viewers of BET’s target audience. So, let’s discuss both sides:

2 Erykah Badu’s Coachella Performance [VIDEO]

The eclectic and soulful Erykah Badu finally graced the stage at the annual Coachella Music festival yesterday in California. She performed her song, “20ft Tall” and some of the other new songs she is working on off of her album, New Amerykah Part II. Nice!
Erykah isn’t the only artist scheduled to tear up the stage at the event. This three day music festival is filled with performances from some of our favorite artists such as Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, Nas & Damien Marley  to name a few. Other celebs such as Usher and Rihanna were also spotted in the audience, watching Ms. Badu’s performance from the sidelines. What do you guys think about Erykah’s clothing choice of the evening? Interesting right?

YC Signs With Universal! [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO]

With “Racks” (featuring Future) burning up the clubs and catching on outside of Atlanta, we knew it was only a matter of time before YC (Young Chris) signed a major record deal.
YC broke the exclusive news with Hot 107.9′s Emperor Searcy that he has officially signed a deal with Universal Music Group! He even brought the contract with him to our studio!

Dr. Dre & Eminem “I Need A Doctor” [VIDEO]

Well kiddies, Detox is near. We’ve just got the second video from the mythical Dr. Dre project, the long awaited video for “I Need A Doctor” featuring Eminem & Skylar Grey.
The 7-and-a-half minute video, directed by Allen Hughes of the Hughes Brothers, starts off with Dre speeding down a long and winding road while footage of Dre’s past flashes on the screen.  Dre ends up wrecking his nice car and ends up in a coma. Fast forward years later, and Eminem is rapping at his bedside until Dre magically awakens from the coma to spit his verse.
