Terry McMillan Confirms “Waiting To Exhale” Sequel For 2012?

Waiting To ExhaleTerry McMillan used Twitter to confirm that a “Waiting To Exhale” sequel is in the works and on it’s way. “Getting Happy,” which was published last year, picks up 15 years after “Exhale.”
Savannah is finally married, but unhappy; Bernadine is near-broke after her huge divorce settlement;
Gloria seems to have finally found happiness; Robin is juggling her career with being a single mother.
Terry tweeted: “We are working on the script for HAPPY. Will know in about a month or so when we’ll begin production. Probably on screens in 2012.”
MLive.com made a good observation: “Casting the male characters in the film might prove to be the production’s biggest challenge, as Gregory Hines, who played opposite Devine, died in 2003 and Wesley Snipes, who played opposite Bassett, is currently serving a prison sentence for tax fraud and won’t be released until 2013. Leon, father to Rochon’s daughter, has worked intermittently since.”
And let’s address the big elephant in the room: What about Whitney?
