Sean “Diddy” Combs was recently crowned the top spot in Forbes’ list of wealthiest hip-hop entertainers in 2011 with $425 million, beating Jay-Z by $25 million. He and his Dirty Money girls recently sat down with MTV News to talk about topping the Forbes’ List. He stated: “I don’t really get caught up into the list. I think people think that I have that money actually sitting at home in the basement.” Interesting.He also went on to say: “It’s really like if I sold all my companies, and I take pride in building something as a black man that’s worth that much. To everyone calling me for a loan today, I do not have that money today!”
Diddy hopes that topping the Forbes’ List will help inspire others, and that people are motivated by the success of him and Jay-Z along with the rest of the Forbes 2011 list. Check out the video of Diddy and Dirty Money at MTV News below.
