Johnny Depp's 'Dark Shadows' Gets New Start Date

First the good news: Johnny Depp will definitely be starring in Tim Burton's adaptation of the 1960s vampire soap opera Dark Shadows.
Now the bad news: It looks like we'll have to wait at least a few more months than initially anticipated to see him tackle the role of Barnabus Collins.
While confirming the project on Thursday, Deadline Hollywood also announced that the production date has been pushed back to April, rather than the beginning of the year, as had been reported earlier.
The film will be co-produced by Depp's production company Infinitum Nihil and Graham King's GK Films, working from a script that's currently being drafted by Seth Grahame-Smith, author of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. The film is currently slated for a 2013 release date, though it's not yet known if the delayed start date will affect that.
Do you think Depp can pull off the role of Barnabus Collins? And can you wait three years to see him do it? Let us know in the comments section.
