Jay-Z, Eminem And Drake Headline Hip Hop's Top-Grossing ToursBillboard ranks the highest-grossing tours, with Jay-Z and Eminem's "Home And Home" tour accounting for nearly $7 million in only two nights.
When Jay-Z and Eminem’s “Home And Home” tour was announced in May, both analysts and critics expected a success. Now that the numbers are in, the early predictions have been confirmed. Billboard magazine reports Jay and Em raked in a hefty $6.9 million alone for their Comerica Park performances in Detroit from September 2-3. Factor in two more dates at Yankee Stadium, and the pair could be looking at a tour gross upwards of $15 million. With an average attendance of over 86,000, Eminem and Jay-Z were only bested by Metallica’s concert grosses of $7.8 million.

Newcomer Drake continued his trend of succeeding early and often by bringing in $761,113 during his Radio City Music Hall appearance with Tyga. The Young Money cohorts performed at the iconic venue from September 28-29, and when added to his profits from the “Away From Home” and “Lightdreams and Nightmares” tours, the numbers could make Drake one of Hip Hop’s most profitable touring artists in 2010.

Mary J. Blige, Miguel, Jazmine Sullivan and El DeBarge registered the highest R&B date. Their Radio City Music Hall performance on October 11-12 brought in $1.2 million in sales.
