Adam Sandler's pricey gifts to pals

Do they know they're getting Maseratis? Anita Buggs/WireImage Working with Adam Sandler has benefits: If you star in one of his movies, and it makes a ton of money, you might just find a Maserati in your driveway.

That's what happened to Chris Rock after starring alongside Sandler in the comedy "Grown Ups."
"I went outside the other day and I had a new Maserati in the driveway," Rock told Howard Stern on his Sirius radio show, joking: "Now I think that I'mAdam Sandler's b---h."
Sandler not only presented Rock with the $200,000 super-luxe Italian car, he ordered three more for "Grown Ups" co-stars David Spade, Rob Schneider and Kevin James. In total, that's $800,000 worth of wheels.
Very grown-up of Sandler, not to mention epic on an Oprah level of generosity. (Suddenly, aspiring actors across America are trading "I really want to work with Scorcese" to "I really want to work with Sandler.")
"The movie's like the biggest thing for (Sandler)," Rock said of "Grown Ups," out today on DVD and Blu-ray. "He appreciates the help."

Sandler certainly has money to spare: He currently sits at No. 9 on Forbes' list of the most overpaid actors of 2010. That said, "Grown Ups" cost a reported $80 million to shoot and more than profited at the box office with $270 million in ticket sales.

Sandler's publicist declined comment on the make of the gifted Maseratis. But it's safe to say Rock and the gang aren't returning their cars anytime soon. Or ever.
Celebrities giving cars to other celebrities is nothing new. Recall several months ago, when Justin Bieber received a $210,000 Lamborghini from Sean "Diddy" Combs for his 16th birthday.

(Though it's still not clear if that was just a loaner.) Bieber's mentor Usher has also reportedly bestowed a Range Rover upon his young protege.
What did Bieber end up taking for a frozen yogurt run? The "Lambo."
