Political FAILS Of The Week: NO LOVE For Haiti And Crazy Republicans

It’s been a crazy week in the political arena. From the United States not sending any aid to Haiti nine months after the earthquake to Republican New York Gubernatorial candidate, Carl Paladino, almost getting into a fist fight with a reporter. There were many things to discuss, so let’s take a look at some of the FAILS of the week.
When the earthquake hit Haiti nine months ago the world watched day after day as more and more stories came out about people being rescued, saved, reunited, dying in the streets and every other story imaginable.

The world dug deep to give what they could to the stricken country, but what we didn’t count is the red tape bureaucracy that holds up and stops many thing from happening in our government.Nine months after the earthquake more than a million Haitians still live on the streets between piles of rubble. One reason: Not a cent of the $1.15 billion the U.S. promised for rebuilding has arrived. The money was pledged by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in March for use this year in rebuilding.

The U.S. has already spent more than $1.1 billion on post-quake relief, but without long-term funds, the reconstruction of the wrecked capital cannot begin. One senator has held up a key authorization bill because of a $5 million provision he says will be wasteful. Wasteful? Are they serious? What’s wastful about helping people who need it? FAIL but we can’t continue to drag our feet when people need our help. The lack of funds has all but halted reconstruction work by CHF International, the primary U.S.-funded group assigned to remove rubble and build temporary shelters.
Meg Whitman, the California Republican gubernatorial candidate, has been a tabloids dream the last couple days mainly because she is described by her housekeeper as a nightmare. But wait it get better, not only has her housekeeper dropping dime on Whitman but the Republican candidate for governor reportedly fired her housekeeper for being an illegal immigrant.
It's funny how many republican political scandals always seem to revolve around a republican doing something they are totally against.

Whitman, like many other Republicans, is in favor of the SB 1070 law in Arizona which would allow police officers to ask for proof of legal status and if you don’t provide you can be deported. So ya girl Whitman is coming under fire because she fired her housekeeper for political reasons after she was employed with her for nine years.
You get a FAIL for this one Mrs. Whitman, mainly because your loyalty to your constituents and votes is more important to a person’s livelihood. Now all of this is back and forth accusations, but doesn’t this sound like something a Republican would do?

Another crazy *ss Republican who made news this week was Carl Paladino, the New York Republican gubernatorial candidate. This guy actually wanted to and almost had a full blown fist fight with a reporter after the reporter questioned him about allegations he made toward another candidate, well, that set Paladino off, take a look at the video.

Damn, this guy could be the next Governor of New York, seriously. Not to mention he is back by the misguided Tea Party. This November will be crazy.
