Drake Interviews with Kati Couric

Earlier today, Drizzy Drake sat down with Katie Couric and chopped it up LIVE on everything from whether hip hop lyrics are demeaning to women, to his fake marriage to Nicki Minaj. He also talked about his love for Aaliyah and how his upbringing as a jewish bi-racial kid made him feel like an outsider…And of course, he spoke highly of Lil Wayne, comparing him to the greats:
I think Wayne is the closest thing we have to an iconic figure in my generation. “To me, he is the rock star, he is the icon, he is the messiah that people look up to and say, ‘This guy really controls the market.’ It’s not just his music. It’s his life. It’s rare you get people like that.

Earlier today Drake was on Katie Couric’s CBS web show where they sat down one on one for an extensive interview. The two touched on Lil’ Wayne, the late Aaliyah, wine tasting, his marriage prank with Nicki Minaj and growing up as a bi-racial teen.
