Lil Wayne & Birdman to Reunite for 'Like Father, Like Son 2'

Birdman tells MTV that he and Wayne will return with the sequel to their '06 LP next year, and that he has two mixtapes in the works.

Between his T-Wayne project with T-Pain, the rumored I Can't Feel My Face album with Juelz Santana, two other joint efforts with Drake and Lloyd and the long-awaited Tha Carter IV, it appears as if Lil Wayne's eyes are bigger than his stomach. Now, Weezy F. can add yet another collaborative project to that list, as Birdman told MTV yesterday that they will be releasing a sequel to their 2006 smash album Like Father, Like Son in the coming year.
"The Like Father, Like Son 2 album, it's gonna come out next year," said Birdman. "We gonna do them all the time." (MTV.com)

Chamillionaire's Grammy Award-winning producers from "Ridin' Dirty" are following in Irv Gotti and DMX's footsteps.

Fresh off of their production work on Bun B's Trill O.G. album, Dallas, Texas team of brothers Play-N-Skillz is reportedly headed from the studio to the screen. RapIndustry.com reports that the Grammy Award-winning producers from Chamillionaire's 2006 smash hit "Ridin'" are going to be the subject of a new reality series for MTV.
Tomorrow, the brothers Salinas will host an open casting call seeking co-stars for the presently unnamed series set to begin taping soon. Details of the taping are available here at RapIndustry.com.
In addition to Bun and Chamillionaire, the SRC/Universal Records duo, who released 2004's The Process, has recently worked with Snoop Dogg, Pitbull and Nelly.

Coroner: Actor Tony Curtis dies at Las Vegas home

LAS VEGAS - The Clark County coroner says actor Tony Curtis has died.

Coroner Mike Murphy says Curtis died at 9:25 p.m. MDT Wednesday at his Las Vegas area home of a cardiac arrest.

Curtis, who had heart bypass surgery in 1994, began his acting career as a 1950s heartthrob but became a respected actor with such films as "The Defiant Ones" and "Sweet Smell of Success.

"The Defiant Ones" brought him an Oscar nomination in 1958 for his portrayal of a racist escaped convict handcuffed to a black escapee, Sidney Poitier. The following year, he co-starred in one of the most acclaimed film comedies ever, Billy Wilder's "Some Like It Hot."

"I told my editor that I wanted it to do three important things," Jay-Z stated. "The first was to make the case that hip-hop lyrics-not just my lyrics, but those of every great MC-are poetry if you look at them closely enough."
