Jay-Z partners with Nike for his own line of shoes

Not that we didn’t know Jay-Z was a jack-of-all trades before, but damn, the dude even has his own line of shoes now. The rapper-turned record executive-turned-media mogul has partnered with Nike to create an iconic collection of Air Force Ones—the “All Black Everything” collection inspired by the World Basketball Festival. And as you can see from the picture below, the shoes are called “Nike Hov” and are looking real slick. You can check out photos of the crisp and extremely tight kicks here.
Nike has donated the shoes to the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, who in turn have linked up with eBay on a charity auction that begins today. Only two pairs of each of the five designs will be created, one for the winning bidder and one for the Jigga Man, himself. So bottom line: If you snag one of these pairs, you’re in extremely elite company—just you and Jay will own the pair you’ll be rocking.

Jay-Z will take the stage tonight at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, following an on-court showcase featuring finalists for the 2010 USA Basketball World Championship Team. And it makes sense for Hov to be mixing with the basketball elite, cuz, you know, after all, this is the man who can trip a referee and regularly gets high fives from the Knicks and Nets.
