Listen To Frank Ocean’s “Memrise”

Frank Ocean, one of the most enigmatic mainstream R&B artists the business has to offer, hasn’t released an official record in over 2 years. His debut album, channel ORANGE, transitioned him seamlessly from the quirky guy that sang on Tyler The Creator‘s debut album and Watch The Throne in the same year to the full-blown star that beat out Chris Brown and Miguel at the Grammy Awards. Since then, he’s been heard from in sparse intervals, and he’s made only 4 guest appearances–Jay Z‘s “Oceans,” Kanye West‘s “New Slaves,” John Mayer‘s “Wildfire,” and Beyonce‘s “Superpower”–on non-Odd Futurerecords.
Though it doesn’t appear that “Memrise” is any official single of any sort, it is proof that Frank still has interest in making music, something his fans have been clamoring for since 2012. Listen to the short offering–”Memrise” clocks in at under 2 minutes–below, and cross your fingers. This could be the start of something.
