IT’S OFFICIAL: SHAQ OUT FOR REST OF THE NBA PLAYOFFS

(blackmediaSCOOP) This is not good news for the Boston Celtics. Their big man Shaq is out for the rest of the playoffs. The Celtics made the call after O’Neal failed to sprint up and down the court during a “conditioning test” on Saturday before limping off the court. Now coach Doc Rivers will have to rely on veteran Jermaine O’Neal, who also joined the team during the offseason and has battled knee problems since the beginning of the season, with Glen Davis and Nenad Krstic serving as his backups. So far the team is up two games against the New York Knicks.
