Mitch Horowitz, author of the book Occult America, is an expert in the subject and was recently asked whether or not he thought Jay-Z was involved in the occult or a freemason.
Horowitz says that he doesn’t believe that Jay is involved in the occult or a freemason, and says that Jay is probably just a genius when it comes to using imagery.

Eyewitnesses claim she was on the set of  Lil Chuckee of Young Money’s video shoot when the repo man showed up and started towing her 2010  Yellow Camero away.According to Diamond’s twitter, she was dumbfounded on why they showed up to repo her car as she had just bought the car on October 19th. The rumor mill has been going full steam this morning (October 20) thanks to a report claiming that pop/R&B singer Beyonce Knowles is pregnant with what will be her and husband Jay-Z’s first child. According to Us Weekly the singer is already in her first trimester.
"B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet," a source revealed to Us Weekly. "She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again."
Another source revealed that news of Beyonce’s possible pregnancy was “a gift from God” and that the 29-year-old singer is “so happy” right now.
Although this will be the couple’s first child Beyonce already has the support of many including her sister Solange Knowles.

Another Correctional Officer Disciplined For Visiting Lil Wayne

Capt. Raphael Collazzo becomes the third Riker's officer accused of making inappropriate visits to Lil Wayne.

The New York Daily News reports Captain Raphael Collazzo will be suspended 10 days without pay for making an unexplained 45-minute visit with Lil Wayne. The Grammy Award winning rapper was placed in an isolated, solitary cell on October 4 after being caught with an MP3 player.

“I spoke to the captain and I said, ‘Do you know what's going on?’” Captain’s Correction Union President Patrick Ferraiuolo told the Post. “He goes: ‘I have done nothing wrong...I don’t have any dealings with this guy.’”

While the hot pair may have ended things in mid-September, they were spotted getting pretty close (and kissy) on the Gossip Girl set on October 21 and September 25.
It's been a rough year for Gossip Girl off-screen romance. Co-stars Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr called off their off-screen romance in April and Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan broke up shortly after Ed and Jessica's romance fizzled.
Blake and Penn began dating in 2007. The pair first met as childhood classmates in California.

Drake Puts R&B Mixtape Aside For Now

Drake can't stop rapping, and it's keeping him from R&B.

Fans looking forward to Drake's much-discussed R&B mixtape will have to wait, as the Young Money rapper has decided to put the project on hold.
"I been rapping a lot lately," said Drizzy to MTV News. "Me and [producer] 40 have been doing some great rap music, so I sort of took a hiatus on the R&B for a second. It's cool to do R&B, I love it, but it's just hard for me to always commit to it. Because some nights, I get in there and 40's beats, as melodic or R&B-driven as they may be, just have that right pocket that I just wanna spit."
Drake also added that he's completed the second song for his sophomore album.

Amazon says that the next album from the troubled Rap star sits at December 7, while a group of fans fights to keep the king uncaged.

Atlanta, Georgia Rap superstar T.I. has been sentenced to 11 months in prison for his September parole violation involving multiple drug offenses during a traffic stop with wife, Tomeka "Tiny" Harris. According to TMZ.com, a group calling themselves "Citizens of the State of Atlanta, Georgia" [sic] has sent the court a petition trying to send the Grand Hustle/Atlantic Records emcee to drug rehabilitation instead of prison.
T.I.'s counsel has reportedly been made aware of the letter, but has no plans of using it in an appeal.

T.I. Won't Face Drug Charges For September Arrest

While he'll still have to face 11 more months in prison, Tip won't face additional drug possession charges.

As reported earlier, T.I. will have to serve another 11 months of prison time after violating his probation following a September 1 arrest in Hollywood. Tip and his wife, Takema “Tiny” Cottle, were arrested for suspicion of possessing methamphetamines after police pulled over their Maybach in West Hollywood. TMZ reports the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office won’t pursue the drug charges “because, in essence, he’s already been sentenced to prison since the arrest was a violation of his federal probation.”

With the next election quickly approaching in 2012, the Obama camp is strategizing for re-election. According to the New York Post's "Page Six" column, they are considering using Jay-Z to reach the youth and minority voters.
"I can't believe you've finally heard the chatter about him replacing Larry Summers," Deputy White House Press Secretary William Burton told the Post. "In all seriousness, keep in mind he was pretty active during the 2008 election, so I don't think it'd surprise anyone that he would be involved again. But it's a little premature."
The 2012 Presidential election will be held on November 6, 2012.

Petition Hearing Denied In F.B.T. vs. Aftermath Digital Download Lawsuit

Producers for Eminem say the denial is "the last word" in what they believe will raise artist's share of digital downloads from 12 to 50 percent.

On September 7, after losing a lawsuit initiated by one-time Eminem producers F.B.T. Productions, Universal Music Group filed a petition for a rehearing in a case disputing the royalty rate artists are given for digital downloads. At the time the lawsuit was filed, artists were given roughly 12 percent from each work downloaded in digital formats such as iTunes or Amazon.com. The original 2004 lawsuit charged Apple and Aftermath (a subsidiary of UMG) with unauthorized distribution of 93 of Em's songs in downloadable formats via iTunes. The suit called for both an increased royalty rate on the songs, and a share of Apple’s iPod profits since Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” was used in an iPod advertisement.

“The denial of rehearing is effectively the last word from the Ninth Circuit,” F.B.T. appellate counsel Daniel Asimow, told DigitalMusicNews.com. “We are very pleased with the Court's decision as it vindicates our position that the agreements between record labels and iTunes and other digital music services are licenses, and record companies have to pay Eminem and F.B.T under the royalty provisions governing licenses of their products.”

Many newer contracts were written to give the 12 percent rate to signed artists, however if a legal precedent is set, artists under older contracts could file suits similar to the one won by F.B.T.

“After the year 2000, after iTunes got going, all the new contracts were revised,” explained former Sony lawyer Steve Gordon. “The new contracts say, ‘We don’t care if iTunes is a license or a sale. Whatever it is, you’re only going to get your 10 percent.’ All of the artists that are big sellers on the Internet are from more than 10 years ago. And that stuff is all subject to the older contracts. I think the Eminem case is going to have a profound effect in terms of getting more money from the record companies into the pockets of the artists.”

Lindsay Lohan Avoids Jailtime and is Sent Back to Rehab

Lindsay Lohan has avoided jail time (for the ga-zillionth time) and has been ordered back to rehab. Full story is below…

Lohan was let off fairly easy (like always) in court today by Judge Elden Fox who unlike the deputy district attorney….didn’t believe 180 days in the slammer would serve the former Disney star good. Instead, Lindsay will remain in rehab until January 3, 2011 and is due back in court on February 25th.
Once she is released from rehab, she will also be randomly tested for drugs and alcohol until her court date. If Lohan can manage to not test positive for anything during that time period…..her sentence will then be converted to unsupervised probation. It is also being reported that her SCRAM bracelet will be removed soon as well.
That is one Lucky Lohan!

Dwyane Wade To Give Up Partying In Exchange For Full Custody Of Sons

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade told a Chicago judge Monday he would be prepared to give up his “partying” lifestyle if he was awarded sole custody of his two sons.
Testifying for a second day in a custody battle with his estranged wife Siohvaughn Wade, the NBA All-Star said his oldest son, who is eight, had been “alienated” from him.
Dwyane Wade said that, if he got sole custody of the two children — the younger son is three years old — he would allow Siohvaughn to have a role in the boys’ lives, but only if she got help with her anger.
During his first day of testimony on Friday, Wade said he was the victim of domestic violence at the hands of his ex-wife and denied allegations he used drugs, owned guns, or had ever had a sexually transmitted disease. SOURCE

Nick Cannon: Mariah & I “Just Want A Healthy Child”

Although Mariah Carey has yet to confirm her pregnancy, Nick Cannon is glad to open up about parenthood.
During the Running Russell Simmons party on Tuesday night (October 19), Us magazine asked if Cannon had thought about how many kids the couple wants.
Cannon said, “Not really. I mean, it’s just whatever God blesses us with at that time. We’ll be happy with whatever it is.”
Not caring whether he and Mariah have a boy or girl, Cannon said, “We just want a healthy child.”
Recognizing that he’ll be a young father, Nick continued, “My parents were actually kids when had me. My parents were still in high school and teenagers — and we have a beautiful relationship. I’ll probably be that same way.”
