Lil Wayne Gets Probation For Arizona Drug Charge

Although Arizona may be getting more strict with their immigration laws, Lil Wayne doesn't have much to complain about, as the rapper has been given probation for a drug possession charge.
According to Reuters, Weezy was able to avoid jail time in Arizon due to a plea deal, which required him to plead guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous drug. Three other drug and weapons charges were dropped.

Wayne appeared in court via video conference from New York, where he is currently serving a year-long sentence for attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
"We're quite glad that we were able to wrap everything up," said James Tilson, Wayne's attorney. "It's a favorable plea agreement that will allow Mr. Carter to pursue his career."
The probation, which lasts three years, will begin after his New York sentence ends.
